Best early Black Friday iPad deals

If you can wait until the end of the year, Black Friday is always the best time to pick up a deal on an iPad. While technically a single day (it’s the day after Thanksgiving in the U.S. or November 24 in 2023) Black Friday has gradually expanded to encompass Cyber Monday (November 27), as well as the weeks leading up to the big weekend. These days, in fact, you’re likely to see Black Friday-branded sales and deals through almost the entirety of November.

This means you need to keep your eyes peeled all month long for killer iPad savings. Or, better still, let us keep our eyes peeled for you. This article is where we round up the best-value deals on the various iPad models available in both the U.S. and the U.K., as well as provide automated price comparison tables that will pull in the lowest prices across all the major retailers.

Black Friday 2023: Apple’s shopping event

Each year Apple holds a Black Friday shopping event, but rather than offering discounts it just gives gift cards for certain products. In 2022 this promotion applied to the iPad Air and iPad mini ($50/£50 Apple Gift Card) and 9th-gen iPad ($30/£30 Apple Gift Card). In 2023, we expect all models to be included in the shopping event, since Apple hasn’t updated any iPads this year. So it’s likely Apple will offer $30 gift cards on 10th-gen iPad purchases and possibly up to $150 when buying the iPad Pro.

Latest 10th-gen iPad deals

Apple’s 10th-gen iPad (MSRP $449/£499) launched in October 2022, so Black Friday 2023 could bring the biggest discounts to date. We already saw it drop as low as $349 at Target so we’re hopeful for big sales.

Latest 9th-gen iPad deals

The 9th-gen iPad (MSRP $329/£369) from 2021 is still an excellent tablet for kids and people on a budget. It’s regularly on sale for $249 but it could go even lower over Black Friday.

Latest iPad mini deals

The 6th-gen iPad mini (MSRP $499/£569) came out in 2021, but we don’t expect much to change when it’s updated next year. Amazon often sells it for $100 off, so if it goes much lower you shouldn’t hesitate.

Latest iPad Air (2022) deals

In the respects that count—from design to performance, from 5G to accessory support—the latest iPad Air (MSRP $599/£669) is a Pro in all but name. You can often find it on sale for $50 to $100 off so refrain from paying much more than that—and quickly grab one if it goes any lower than $499.

Latest 11-inch iPad Pro deals

Apple’s latest set of iPad Pro models were updated in 2022, but they’re insanely powerful. Major discounts on the 11-inch model (MSRP $799/£899) are fairly uncommon, so if you see savings of $100 or more it probably won’t last long.

Latest 12.9-inch iPad Pro deals

The 12.9-inch version of the Pro (MSRP $1,099/£1,249) is Apple’s top-of-the-line tablet. It’s not cheap but it’s worth the price if you can get it on sale for over $100 off.
